On this week's episode of Eat North Variety Pack, co-hosts Mairlyn Smith and Dan Clapson are joined once again by panelist, food writer and Instagrammer Carmen Cheng. The trio will delve into conversations about current events and iconic Canadian foods and drinks since Canada Day is approaching next week before welcoming our special guests.
First up is Edmonton chef Ariel Del Rosario. The owner of the popular contemporary Filipino eatery Filistix will cook up a delicious pork belly dish and chat a bit about how he approaches Filipino cuisine. Next, Dan joins drag queen Scarlett Bobo in her Vancouver kitchen while she mixes up some cookie dough and talks about filming Canada's Drag Race (which premieres on Crave TV on July 2) and what she has planned for Pride 2020.
Last, but not least, Okotoks-based country singer Brettyn Rose will perform her about-to-be-released single "But I Do" to close out the show.
Eat North Variety Pack airs weekly on Thursdays at 12 p.m. MDT (2 p.m. ET) on our Facebook page.
