After successfully pivoting with the pandemic to produce a nationwide Chowder Chowdown in 2021, the Ocean Wise Seafood Festival announced this week that it will be returning to its original month-long festival format in February.
Although participating businesses have yet to be revealed, Canadians from coast to coast will have a chance to get their hands on a wide array of sustainable seafood from grocery stores and restaurants across the country.
Throughout the entirety of the festival, several eateries will also feature exclusive festival dishes like the Give Two Shucks oyster chowder and the Smoked Sablefish, with proceeds from dine-in, delivery, and takeout sales directly supporting the not-for-profit Ocean Wise Seafood program.
Additional event information and a list of participating businesses are expected to be released in January. Businesses who are currently official Ocean Wise Seafood partners will be able to register for the festival until December 6.
