Are we surprised an enigmatic magician and mentalist wound up winning The Traitors Canada Season 1? Not one bit!

Mike D’urzo was one of 20 Canadians competing on the theatrical and mysterious reality show that saw a large group of Faithfuls and a handful of Traitors doing their best and, at times, their most devious to make it to the finish line. Mike wound being one of the Traitors on the Canadian-made series that has been dubbed "the ultimate murder mystery game".

The inaugural season of The Traitors Canada might be over, but it is still available to stream on CTV.ca, the CTV app and Crave.

While he's officially reached reality TV show winner status, his career as a magician is nothing to balk at as Mike D’urzo was also named Canadian Entertainer of the Year award by the Canadian Event Awards.

Recently, The Traitors Canada Season 1 winner took some time to chat with us about his favourite spots for eats and drinks in Toronto. From a fast-casual breakfast chain to a cool downtown speakeasy, here's where you might find D'urzo hanging out once in awhile!

Pür & Simple is the perfect breakfast spot to me because they offer plenty of options including good gluten-free and keto options.

The skillets here are amazing–try the Ray’s Extravaganza–and they even serve a breakfast poutine!

Lunch

Founded in 1967, Zet’s Restaurant is one of the best places for Greek food and reasonably priced.

I get the Chicken Souvlaki Dinner–which they are famous for–and they offer it as a regular dinner with rice, potatoes and salad or you can get it on a bun or in a pita!

Dinner

Paisano is an Italian restaurant close to home that my wife and I frequent often. It’s classic Italian cooking at its finest and one can never go wrong with this place.

I always order their Chicken Parmigiano, and I should mention that it's also very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get!

À-Toi (its name is French for “yours”) is a hidden speakeasy in the heart of downtown Toronto is designed to look like a 1920s Parisian hotel lobby bar.

They sometimes have a magician on Saturday nights and their drink menu is impressive, especially their absinthe cocktail list.
