What's in a name? Typically an interesting story...especially when it comes to Canadian restaurants.

This year, we spent a lot of time chatting with different restaurateurs from across the country to find out they decided on the names for their respective eateries. No matter what industry professional we were talking to, their answer was rarely a predictable one.

From Vancouver's famed Quebecois-style concept St. Lawrence to Saskatoon's locally-minded Hearth and all the way over to Kiin in Toronto and Vin Mon Lapin in Montreal, here are the stories behind the names of 10 acclaimed Canadian restaurants.
