Known well in the Okanagan for her pop-up events via The Paisley Notebook, chef Aman Dosanj just shared details on her second annual all-female collaborative dinner benefitting the Canadian Mental Health Association in Kelowna.
"Last year, we raised a massive $7,709.82 with 39 guests and we made a little change in our community," explains Dosanj happily. "This year, we're excited to be teaming up with our friends at Tantalus Vineyards... I'm proud to be bringing together some inspirational talent from the Okanagan, as well as our Albertan neighbours for the first time. Everyone in the line-up has a different culinary style and story, but we all have similar thinking about supporting local and have personal ties to our chosen charities."
Dosanj has enlisted the help of four culinary talents for the special dinner happening on International Women's Day, March 8, 2018. Calgary's Jinhee Lee (executive chef, Foreign Concept) and Erin Pickering (chef de cuisine, Nicole Gourmet), Leah Massey of Edmonton (Biera) and pastry chef Tina Tang of Predator Ridge (Vernon, B.C.) will cook alongside Dosanj to execute a five-course dinner at the notable Tantalus Vineyards. Though Tantalus is playing host, the dinner will also feature wines from other notable Okanagan winemakers, including Roche Wines, Moraine Winery and Le Vieux Pin Winery.
Tickets are $165 and go on sale the morning of February 19th.
