One of the Okanagan's most familiar culinary faces, Aman Dosanj has just annouced that her unique and immersive pop-up series would be returning for its seventh year.

The first 2023 SOURCED pop-up will take place on May 4 at 99 Rows with Ursa Major Winery and Bar Travelling Man. The four-course, beverage-paired dinners will take place monthly (sometimes more than one date) at different locations across the interior such as Terravista Vineyards in Naramata (June 8) and Covert Farms Family Estates in Oliver (July 22).

The reason for why these pop-ups are so unique is two-fold. First, is the creator's focus on hyper-locality in terms of igredients from local farmers, as well as wine, spirits and other drink products produced in the Okanagan region.

Second, is how Dosanj infuses aspects of South Asian food culture and culinary techniques into her menus. She channels her family background and wordly travels to offer unique menus that attendees won't soon forget.

"This year, the stories of the surprise menus dive deeper," the chef explained in this week's SOURCED 2023 announcement. “I've been researching the ancient cuisine of Multan, on the Pakistan side of Punjabi. Multan was a major trading hub, so one-pot cooking and self-stable foods were essential for survival in hot desert lands. While Punjab, India, used to be about 70 per cent vegetarian, Punjab, Pakistan, was the opposite. Any conversation about Punjabi cuisine should start by asking which side of the border.”

Tickets for the SOURCED May 4 pop-up go on sale Thursday, March 30. With tickets for future spring and summer dates to be released in the coming days.

Interested attendees musst email Aman Dosanj at purchase seats at the cost ;$160 per person (plus GST). Tickets are non-refundable, but transferable.
