If you know anything about Paul Brandt, it's likely that he's one of the most recognizable names in Canadian country music and that the country singer loves food. An avid gardener, cook and cocktail maker, one of Brandt's favourite outdoor activities is fly fishing. It's a hobby that the singer, acclaimed fly-fishing guide Naoto Aoki, and director Yoshi Aoki are shining a light on through the new documentary Beauty of Pursuit.

Premiering on April 9 at 5 p.m. MST on Brandt's YouTube channel, the 10 minute film follows Brandt and Naoto Aoki as they visit two of Alberta's premier fly-fishing locations–the Bow River in south Calgary and the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.

"For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to produce a fly-fishing film, and that day has finally arrived! 2 days, 2 Helicopters, and 2 stunning locations showcasing the wonder and spirit of Calgary and its beautiful surroundings," says Brandt.

Beauty of Pursuit was created in partnership with Tourism Calgary in an effort to shine a light on the worldclass fly fishing this part of Alberta offers.
