A new restaurant concept from chef Hung Nguyen opened in Vancouver this week, offering a distinctly fresh and healthy menu of west-coast-Asian-fusion cuisine with a sharp focus on organic ingredients.
Located in the space formerly occupied by Cabrito Tapas on Commercial Drive, B House Restaurant is the first solo project from Nguyen. Since moving from Vietnam to Canada, Nguyen has worked at a variety of recognizable Vancouver eateries like The Boathouse, Joey Bentall, and Rogue Kitchen and Wetbar.
"We are incredibly proud and excited to announce the official launch of B House on Commercial Drive" says Hung. "It has long been a dream of mine to run my own restaurant and my wife Vy and I are thrilled to introduce our unique menu of fresh and healthy Asian fusion flavours to the neighbourhood."
Open for all-day brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks, the B House Restaurant menu features a selection of regionally-inspired dishes such as the sockeye salmon stuffed with creamy artichokes and a organic garlic-soy-glazed vegan tofu bowl, along with signature dishes from chef Nguyen like the Cognac chicken liver pate with crostini and cranberry chutney.
Additionally, to celebrate their grand opening week, Vancouver's newest eatery is offering a free sweet chili chicken appetizer plate to the first 15 tables each day, along with 20 per cent off all chicken wings until Sunday, October 25.
B House Restaurant is open Monday to Thursday from noon to 10 p.m., Fridays from noon to 11 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
