Following the launch of its new Canadian flagship store in Winnipeg, acclaimed furniture retailer EQ3 recently unveiled a new culinary concept created in collaboration with renowned deer + almond chef Mandel Hitzer.
Located within the company's flagship store in Winnipeg’s CF Polo Park, D+A Café aims to provide Winnipeggers with a fresh take on casual dining inspired by local ingredients and the same commitment to craft that EQ3 is known for.
The interior of the café is equipped with a monolithic bar design and offers seating for up to 40 dine-in guests. Chef Hitzer’s menu—not unlike his hyper-local menu at deer + almond—features an assortment of seasonally-inspired soups, starters, shareables, entrees, and desserts, along with a variety of classic café libations.
Some of the menu highlights include a classic veal tonnato with rosemary, capers, and tuna sauce, Wild Earth Farms roast pumpkin with burrata, sage pesto, pumpkin seeds, and crostini, and a carnaroli risotto with marinated mushroom, aioli, fine herbs, and manchego.
D+A Café is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
