CBC Radio One's Unforked podcast premieres June 28

Award-winning Toronto journalist and restaurateur Samira Mohyeddin breaks down the culture and politics behind Canada’s culinary landscape

A new podcast dedicated to the unbridled discussion and dissection of Canada’s food and beverage landscape is getting set to debut on CBC Radio next week featuring weekly conversations between some of the country’s top culinary minds.

Hosted by award-winning journalist, documentarian, and longtime Toronto-based restaurateur Samira Mohyeddin, Unforked will aim to pick apart the food Canadians eat to reveal the truth, culture, and politics buried beneath the surface. From Indigenous chefs who are decolonizing their diets and the unfounded vilification of MSG to the significance food plays in contextualizing our day-to-day lives and the people behind it, no topic is too tricky or taboo for the Unforked table.

The Unforked podcast premieres June 28 and will air Monday and Saturday mornings on CBC Radio One.
