A new afternoon tea menu is getting set to launch at Fairmont Banff Springs’ recently-renovated Rundle Bar next weekend, offering guests a new and more luxurious way to experience the traditional service with a selection of ultra-high-end ingredients and upscale beverage pairings.
Executive chef Robert Ash’s new Royal Tea menu features a lavish array of savoury artisanal ingredients such as Japanese A5 wagyu beef, foie gras torchon, and deviled quail’s egg, along with a decadent selection of house-made sweets including Tahitian vanilla bean panna cotta with mango caviar, passion fruit cremeux, and banana bread croutons, and Fairmont Banff Springs Opera Cake with estate grown coffee buttercream, dark chocolate ganache, and a 24K gold leaf.
Guests will also have the opportunity to complete the Royal Tea service with beverage pairings like Bruno Paillard Première Cuvée Rosé Champagne and The Metropolitan Tea Company’s small batch tea blends.
“The new Royal Tea menu was designed to deliver the most luxurious tea service in Canada,” said chef Ash. “We look forward to serving this exquisite menu and providing an unforgettable experience at the ‘Castle in the Rockies’ that is fit for a royal."
Fairmont Banff Springs’ Royal Tea menu officially launches on February 27 and will be available at Rundle Bar daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Reservations can be made online.
