It was widely speculated after Canada’s first-ever Michelin Star restaurants were revealed in Toronto two weeks ago that Vancouver’s unveilings would not be far behind, and today, the Michelin Guide Vancouver announced that it will deliver its official debut selections on October 27.
Not unlike the buildup toward Toronto’s selections, Michelin inspectors have been quietly making their way through Vancouver’s vast food and beverage scene to determine which establishments will be worthy of the prestigious Michelin Guide distinctions.
“Vancouver is a treasure. Our inspectors discovered many gems, and there’s still so much potential in the area,” said Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guides. “Our inspectors love the depth and breadth of flavours and cultures, and they can’t wait to reveal to worldwide gourmets and travellers all the great discoveries they enjoyed.”

The Michelin Guide Vancouver will make its debut selections on October 27 at the Vancouver Convention Centre. The ceremony will be streamed on YouTube beginning at 7:30 p.m.
