An interesting new bar concept recently opened its doors in Toronto, offering up an assortment of space-themed cocktails and small plates in a setting inspired by the world of science fiction.
The intergalactic interior design at Offworld Bar was conceived by the creative team behind Storm Crow Maner which, if you're unfamiliar, is a bar that some media outlets have dubbed “Canada’s nerdiest bar”. Offworld seems to have a somewhat similar carefree energy; in addition to the space-inspired aesthetic, the bar also features photorealistic digital “windows” that are said to "transport the viewer across the galaxy."
The food menu features a wide selection of options that range from standard bar snacks like nachos, salads, and oysters to more adventurous offerings like the house-made chicken liver pate or the spicy jackfruit sliders. The beverage program appears to be equally expansive, with 11 original cocktails, a nice variety of beer and cider on tap, and a balanced blend of Old and New World wines.
Offworld Bar is open from 4 p.m. till late on Thursdays through Sundays. Reservations can be made via Tock.
