After relocating from Charlottetown, P.E.I. to Wolfville, N.S. in the spring of 2021 due to COVID-19 complications, popular East Coast eatery Terra Rossa Trattoria announced this week that former Maritime Express Cider Co. and Top Chef Canada competitor Stephane Levac has been appointed as the restaurant’s new head chef.

As a passionate forager with an affinity for fashioning creative cuisine that highlights his Indigenous roots as well as the local landscape, Levac has developed a reputation within the region’s culinary community as one of Atlantic Canada’s most imaginative chefs.

Despite having only just joined the Terra Rosa team, the restaurant has stated that guests can look forward to a number of new chef-driven events from Levac over the coming months, including a new series of special wine dinners, a New Year’s Eve dinner, Sunday brunches, and more.

Terra Rossa Trattoria opens Wednesdays through Fridays at 4:30 p.m., Saturdays at 1 p.m., and Sundays at 4 p.m. Reservations and takeout orders can be made online.
