The woman screaming "Start the car!" as she runs out of Ikea in the company's iconic commercial comes to mind when hearing about the fall prix fixe dinner offer Araxi Restaurant and Oyster Bar is launching on Sunday, September 25.
The iconic Whistler restaurant is hoping both locals and tourists alike will take advantage of their four-course dinner menu for just $41 some time between this Sunday and October 17.
The menu does no skimp on any quality B.C. ingredients (that the eatery is known well for) and includes dishes like Chilliwack sweet corn soup with charred corn salsa, jalapeno creme fraiche (first course) and a coriander-dusted popcorn garnish, a grilled Pemberton broccoli salad with crispy hen's egg, smoked onion, pickled mushrooms and a buttermilk tarragon dressing (second course option). Housemade pastas, B.C. halibut and Yarrow Meadows duck breast are just a few of the options for a main course and there's no shortage of sweet finishes either by way of their signature petit fours, a dark chocolate torte or an Okanagan apple dessert with streusel, cream cheese cremeux and a honey balsamic sauce.
Wine pairings can be added on for an additional $41 which feels like a heck of a deal too.
Araxi is open for dinner daily at 5 p.m. and reservations can be made online.
