This week marks our 20th episode of Eat North Variety Pack. (Time flies!) Co-hosts Dan Clapson and Mairlyn Smith, along with our panelist extraordinairies Carmen Cheng and Deepi Harish, are looking forward to celebrating this milestone along with a few special guests.
Firstly, the newly apppointed CEO of Tourism Lethbridge, Jasmine Sangria, will talk to us about her experience of living in Whitehorse for a decade and discovering and helping cultivate the Northern Canadian food scene with the Yukon Culinary Festival before making the move to Alberta. Next, Fairmont Chateau Whistler's executive chef, Isabel Chung, joins Mairlyn to make an interesting late-summer salad and talk a bit about life as a chef in Canada's premier mountain town.
To close out the show, we've got 2020 CCMA Awards Roots Album of the Year nominee, JJ Shiplett, popping in to have a chat and perform a song from his much-lauded album Fingers Crossed.
Eat North Variety Pack airs weekly on Thursdays at 12 p.m. MDT / 2 p.m. ET on Facebook Live.
