Mairlyn Smith is back with us for this week's episode of Eat North Variety Pack. Mairlyn, along with co-host Dan Clapson and panelists Deepi Harish and Carmen Cheng will talk about fall spices, pumpkin pie and whether they are on the annual PSL bandwagon or not.
Our first guests for the show are none other than Lia Rinaldo and Michael Howell, co-directors of Devour! The Food Film Fest. With the current pandemic, the two have moved the film festival mostly online with a few small in-person events to go along with it. They are dubbing it as "Devour 9.5" as this would have been a milestone 10th anniversary for the film and food festival that takes place in Wolfville, N.S.
Next, Mairlyn chats with Saskatoon's Barb Cote of Black Fox Farm and Distillery about their farm-to-table approach to distilling and how their unique gins, made with ingredients like Saskatchewan mustard seeds, haskap berries and more have helped them stand out from the pack.
Singer Nicole Rayy will wrap up the show chatting with Dan and performing her latest single "Broken Boys".
Eat North Variety Pack airs Thursdays at 12 p.m. MDT / 2 p.m. ET on Facebook Live.
