After a week off, we are back in the Eat North Variety Pack studio (i.e. our respective homes) for another interesting episode of conversations, music and, of course, tasty food. Panelists Deepi Harish and Carmen Cheng both join Dan Clapson to catch up on current food news before our special guests arrive.
First up, filmmaker Vicki Van Chau will talk with the trio about creating her recent short documentary Paper Lantern, which celebrates a multigenerational Canadian-Vietnamese family that operates a popular speakeasy in Calgary's Chinatown. Next, RuPaul's Drag Race alum Yuhua Hamasaki will chat with Dan about her experiences throughout the 2020 Pride season and the importance of acceptance.
Chef Jo Notkin of Montreal's Zoe Ford Catering (and Top Chef Canada season 8) will cook up a delicious apple pie using puff pastry and show us her signature twist on the classic. To wrap things up, Winnipeg-based singer Don Amero will perform his latest single "Wasn't The Dress".
Eat North Variety Pack airs Thursdays on Facebook Live at 12 p.m. MDT / 2 p.m. ET.
