With Robbie Burns Day just around the corner, now is the perfect time to add to your whisky collection with another bottle. In recent years, we have seen some interesting whiskies pop up across Canada, courtesy of micro-distilleries from east to west, but it's hard not to think of Scotland when one hears the word whisky.
January 25th (a.k.a. Robbie Burns Day) has been gaining traction year after year and no home bar is complete without a good Scotch or two. This easy cocktail uses The Glenlivet's newest release, Captain's Reserve, in a simple spin on a classic Old Fashioned.
The Old Reserve
Fill a small mixing pitcher with ice.
Add cocktail ingredients, except garnish, to mixing pitcher. Stir and strain into a rocks glass.
Top with ice and garnish with an orange twist.
