While we strive to eat better, ice cream is pretty hard to beat on a hot day. To meet the rising demand, the company invested over $50M into its ice cream plant in London, Ont.

Uber Eats is in the process of expanding as well. The online food delivery app launched in 13 additional Canadian communities including Windsor, Ont. The city allowed the company to operate its business to the dismay of many cab drivers.

If you're in Calgary and want to sample the foods at multiple restaurants, check out The Big Taste festival, which launched yesterday. More than 100 eateries in the downtown core have fixed-priced menus, and there are many new delicious restaurants to try.

Patients in four St. John’s hospitals can now enjoy healthier, more nutritious meals. Hospitals in the city adopted the Steamplicity cooking system, which uses water molecules inside the food to create steam. This new cooking method benefits not only the patients, but also the hospitals.

Loblaw recalls cooked shrimp packages

The company recalled some of its cooked shrimp packages because of the possible presence of bacteria from a raw shrimp. Loblaw has voluntarily issued the recall before any illness was reported.
