On a mission to save the world from pleated pants, Crocs and yoga attire in public, style experts Jason Krell and Alykhan Velji are based in Calgary but travel the globe extensively as part of their ongoing research to discover all things style. Sidewalk Citizen Bakery: There is nothing better than a stop at Sidewalk in the morning. The delicious baked goods are divine. Our faves have to be the cinnamon buns and, of course, the cheese sticks.

Shiki Menya: We have a love-on for noodles and you can't beat the ramen at this place. A small joint in our old neighbourhood, it’s always a good choice for a delicious, filling lunch. Clearly, we moved out of Bridgeland too soon!

Native Tongues: A hot, new addition to the scene in Calgary, this place has it all: great vibe, music, design and, of course, the food. The burger is, by far, the best in the city and you can’t beat Mexican street food.

Cannibale: It looks as though the place has been there for years, but it’s another fairly new addition to the scene. Its cocktail menu is perfection. Try the Santiago; it’s our personal favourite!
