Award-winning Okanagan winery Covert Farms Family Estate has officially opened for the 2022 season, and today, the winery unveiled a slew of seasonal events happening throughout the next few months.
To kick off the season, Covert Farms’ Live Music Sundays series will make its 2022 debut on May 8 for a special Mother’s Day event featuring live music and a communal campfire with traditional fireside snacks and Covert Farms wine.
Throughout the season, guests will also have the option to book two-hour packages for either private picnics or campfire cookouts. Each private picnic includes a mini farm tour, a bottle of wine per two guests, and range of cheese, vegetable, and charcuterie spreads, while private campfire cookouts come complete with a ready-to-grill kit that includes Two Rivers organic hot dogs or smokies with all the fixings, a s’mores kit, a selection of wines, and a paleta to finish.
“We’re thrilled that people are showing such a strong interest in sustainable farming, and we look forward to reopening our doors and sharing our own passion for regenerative farming and viticulture with guests,” said Gene Covert, co-owner. “We are always looking for ways to expand and improve our farm experiences, and we’re particularly proud of the lineup we have this year.”
Covert Farms is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. More information about this year’s music lineup, visitor experiences, and more can be found online.
