If you’ve ever needed an additional reason to visit Korea—current airport chaos notwithstanding—acclaimed chef Antonio Park announced over the weekend that he has launched a new restaurant concept in Seoul.
Located in the Cheongdam district of Seoul, Centre Cheongdam is the first operating restaurant chef Park has opened overseas. According to chef Park, Centre will feature a fusion of Western and Japanese culinary techniques that showcase local Korean ingredients. Aside from that, details are relatively slim, but if chef Park’s post is any indication, the restaurant has also enlisted the expertise of fellow airline ambassador and founder of Seoul Taco and Miniso, chef David Choi.
“My fellow food lovers, I proudly introduce to you, my first operating restaurant overseas. It is an honour to go back to my roots, in the beautiful country where my mother resides, and continue my culinary journey,” chef Park said in his announcement on Instagram. “we will be offering dishes that unite East with West. Brunch six days, tapas style dinner six nights of the week—take your pick and experience flavours that represent the heart of my being.”
