After receiving plenty of praise during its inaugural season earlier this year, the Saskatchewan-focused Flat Out Food docuseries has officially been given the green light to start production on season two. Co-created by author Jenn Sharp–who drew her inspiration for the show from her popular book Flat Out Delicious–and Adrian Halter of HalterMedia, the six-episode season is still available to watch online via Citytv Saskatchewan.

“I’m honoured to have this opportunity to keep telling stories that deeply matter about our Saskatchewan food producers and food artisans," says Sharp. "I think we can all use more beauty, community and something of which to be proud! I hope Flat Out Food can help provide that [to people].”

Though there are no further details as of yet, Sharp says that pre-production for the new season is already underway and that she is looking forward to once again traveling across her home province of Saskatchewan to highlight different culinary minds and producers doing amazing things.

Flat Out Food Season 2 will likely air in early 2022.
