Exciting news in the Toronto restaurant community today as the award-winning Kiin has just announced that it will finally reopen its doors after almost two years. Though an exact date hasn't been shared, it looks like it is aiming to be up and running prior to the Toronto International Film Festival kicking off on September 8, 2022.
Owned by Jeff Regular and chef Nuit Regular, Kiin opened in 2017 and quickly garnered buzz for its celebration of ingredient-driven Royal Thai cuisine, a fairly uncommon subsect of the popular Southeast Asian country's cuisine. The restaurant has won a variety of accolades since then including placement on the Canada's 100 Best Restaurants list in 2019 and 2020.
“Kiin has always held a special place in my heart, where I could showcase the traditional Thai culture in a more refined and delicate manner with my Royal Thai-inspired cuisine,” says Nuit Regular. “I’m working on a few new dishes that I’m really excited to introduce to the menu, including Pad Thai Hor Kai (egg-wrapped Pad Thai). But most of all, I’m just looking forward to seeing our guests again in the beautiful Kiin space.”
