A new monthly night market is getting set to launch in Calgary’s University District tonight that will offer Calgarians a fun reason to visit the already-burgeoning community in the city's North West. Taking place on the last Wednesday of every month from now until September, the U/D Night Market will feature a selection of University District retailers and a curated assortment of local artisans, along with live music and entertainment.
The University District will also be featuring weekly fresh produce stands from the YYC Growers and Distributors this Friday that will offer nutrient-rich and regeneratively grown food from the farmer-owned cooperative. Additionally, throughout June and July, Village Ice Cream will be on hand offering complimentary single servings to help support the I Can for Kids foundation.
The U/D Night Market will run from 5 to 9 p.m. on the last Wednesday of every month, while the fresh produce stands will be open Fridays from 3 to 6 p.m. More information can be found online.
