New plant-based restaurant Fire and Flora opens inside The District at Beltline

With its final concept up and running, the newly redesigned community hub is now fully open

After slowly unveiling a smattering of dining concepts over the last few months, The District at Beltline announced this week that its entire culinary community is now officially up and running in Calgary.

The most recent restaurant to join the collective is plant-based eatery Fire and Flora, which The District says will aim to offer an elevated and immersive dining experience that focuses on seasonal Canadian-grown ingredients. The restaurant will also feature a rotating testing menu, an entirely Calgary-produced beer program, and an inventive cocktail menu that will incorporate local fruits and vegetables.

“With the redevelopment of The District at Beltline, we wanted to create a central hub that the whole community could come together and enjoy,” says CBRE Limited vice president John Moss. “Thanks to its diverse offerings, from the food hall to the full-service restaurants and bars conceptualized by leaders in Canada’s culinary landscape, The District has now established an entirely new entertainment district that supports both daytime and evening patronage.”
