After announcing a new restaurant was en route to Calgary’s University District earlier this year, Murrieta Hospitality Group officially opened the doors to Borough Bar and Grill today.
Led by Murrieta Group corporate chef Daniel Pizarro, the opening day menu features a wide array of options that range from starters such as warm pretzels with jalapeno cheddar and spicy mustard to lunch offerings like halloumi and reuben sandwiches, to pizzas, pastas, and more. Also worthy of note is Borough’s Block menu, which features shareable family-style mains like leg of lamb, grilled whole red snapper, and a 40 ounce bone-in rib steak.
Borough’s 4,500 square-foot dining room is accompanied by a 148-seat patio space overlooking Central Commons Park. The patio is equipped with gas-fired fireplaces and overhead heaters, so Murrieta expects its patio season to extend well into the fall.
Borough Bar and Grill is open Mondays through Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Reservations can be made online.
