After nearly a month of eager anticipation, Mixtape–the buzzworthy new sandwich concept from the team behind Donna Mac, Vine Arts, and Proof–officially opened for business yesterday in Calgary.
Located inside Eighty-Eight Brewing Co. in the Ramsay neighbourhood, Mixtape offers a selection of sandwich creations by Donna Mac executive chef Laetitia Chrapchynski. The offerings range from classics like the slow-braised beef brisket ciabatta and the crispy pork belly Cubano to the vegan sweet potato, quinoa, and cashew falafel on flatbread.
In keeping with its sandwich-centric theme, the Mixtape menu will also feature a rotational “flavour of the day” ice cream sandwich, as well as brown butter chocolate cookies and housemade all-dressed chips.
Mixtape is open Thursday and Friday from 4 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 12 to 9 p.m., and for Sunday bagels from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
