New food delivery marketplace Cookin launches in Toronto

A new service that connects consumers with chefs while supporting a great cause

A new multipurpose food marketplace that connects Canadian businesses and consumers with local chefs recently launched in Toronto. In addition to enabling creators, cooks, and chefs to build their own food-based brands, Cookin also serves as a network for individuals to access made-from-scratch meals from a variety of cuisines.

The platform was created in an effort to provide a more inclusive and equitable option for chefs to share their cuisine with consumers, while cutting out the pricey and often-volatile added charges that exist within most modern food delivery models.

From a business standpoint, partnered chefs are able to set their own prices and cook from wherever they’re most comfortable, and Cookin takes care of everything else, from marketing to packaging, to food delivery.

Additionally, for every order placed on Cookin in Toronto, a donation is made to The Stop Community Food Centre, which provides low-income Torontonians with nutritious meals and warm spaces.
