It's no secret that few foods are more synonymous with Canadian cuisine than poutine, but when it comes to poutine purveyors, the first franchise that comes to mind for many Canadians is Smoke’s Poutinerie. In addition to having franchises and food trucks scattered across the continent, one of the main reasons for Smoke’s widespread notoriety is its annual Gravy Train tour.
This week, the popular poutine chain announced that it will once again be embarking on a cross-Canada tour from St. John’s, Newfoundland to Vancouver, B.C., offering up free poutine featuring fresh hand-cut fries, Canadian cheese curd, and Smoke’s signature gravy. Visitors will also have an opportunity to enjoy curd sampling stations from Dairy Farmers of Canada, on-site entertainment, prizes, merchandise, and more.
Smoke’s Poutinerie's cross-country road trip kicks off on June 23 in St. John’s. More information along with a full list of pop-up dates and locations can be found online.
