After establishing itself as one of Vancouver’s best barbecue joints since its launch in early 2021, Slim’s BBQ recently announced a menu revamp with a new selection of plant-based options.

In addition to its already-popular array of Austin-style barbecue fare, guests of the Mount Pleasant eatery will now have the option to choose from menu offerings such as vegan “pulled pork”, Nashville Fried “Chik’n”, cauliflower wings (pictured below), and more.

“I’ve always loved the social, communal side of BBQ,” said Slim’s owner David Duprey, “but felt that there was a way to open the door and invite more people and different kinds of diners to join the table and share the meal. I’m so much looking forward to seeing people smiling, talking, and sharing platters of food together again.”

In terms of new non-vegan menu items, Slim’s has introduced a new Yeehaw Queso Fun Dip (pictured below) featuring queso, feta, grilled corn, and pico de gallo along with a slow-smoked Sinaloa Barbacoa beef platter which, like the entirety of its meat-centric offerings, are sourced entirely from local producers like 63 Acres Beef and Rossdown Farms.

Slim’s BBQ is open Sundays through Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.
