Vancouver’s Torafuku unveiled a stunning seven-course Valentine’s Day tasting menu today that will showcase a variety of international flavours and techniques in an elevated, yet approachable fashion.
Designed by chef Baker Hsu, Torafuku’s Valentine’s Day menu includes four shared appetizers, a choice of main with paired starch, and dessert to finish, all for just $65 per person.
Some of the menu highlights include starters like Korean gochujang fried chicken and Hokkaido scallop crudo with ponzu, grape, cara cara orange, and dill, main course dishes like grilled pork belly with tangy pickled umeboshi sauce bade from Japanese plums, and tiramisu infused with Vietnamese coffee for dessert.
Diners will also have the option to add sake pairings along with a limited-edition Valentine’s cocktail made with Haku Vodka, aperol, lemon, grapefruit, and Champagne vinegar.
Torafuku’s Valentine’s Day menu will be available from February 11 to 13. Reservations can be made online or over the phone.
