Vancouver’s Torafuku is turning seven years old this month and to celebrate the occasion, the Torafuku team just unveiled a special anniversary omakase menu and a feature cocktail to cheers to Chinatown.
The anniversary omakase is a seven-course menu featuring a combination of longtime Torafuku favourites and a few all-new seasonal creations. Some of the menu items include sharable starters like tempura zucchini flowers stuffed with sweet shrimp mousse and truffle tapenade, main course offerings like lemongrass-marinaded grilled beef chuck tender, and dessert options like the ever-popular basque cheesecake or the newly-designed S’more tarts.
As a special cheers to Vancouver’s Chinatown, Torafuku has also created a cool new Backpacker’s Mule cocktail made with lime leaf-infused vodka, pandan syrup, lemon, ginger, and soda, with 10 per cent of each cocktail sold going directly towards the Vancouver Chinatown Foundation until the anniversary features conclude on August 28.
Torafuku’s anniversary menu is priced at $65 per person and can be viewed in full online. Torafuku is open Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Reservations can be made via OpenTable or by calling the restaurant.
