Since 2012, Calgary’s Village Brewery and Bottlescrew Bill’s Pub have been teaming up with Calgarians to raise awareness and funds for a local charitable organization that is near and dear to both of their hearts, the Calgary Prostate Cancer Centre.
This week, the two are joining forces once again to spread the word about the importance of regular testing to ensure the possibility of early detection, treatment, and recovery, and like the eight successful fundraisers before it, Village has also created a special brew for the occasion.
This year’s Village Nutraiser Beer blends the popular Village Blonde with passionfruit, lemon, and Prairie Oysters for a deliciously meaty result that the brewery has dubbed the Prairie Oyster Passion.
Village Brewery’s annual fundraiser takes place July 8 at Bottlescrew Bill’s from 3 to 6 p.m and will feature Christy Farrell and Fraser Tuff from 101.5 Today Radio as guest emcees.
Pints and donations are currently available for pre-purchase online. All proceeds will go toward supporting the Calgary Prostate Cancer Centre.
