After a very busy day for Mandel Hitzer and his team, selling tickets at The Forks Market in Winnipeg for the 6th annual RAW: Almond event, remaining seats for dinner services between January 19 and February 13 are available for purchase online as of 8:00 a.m. today.
The full chef line-up for the pop-up dinners on ice includes plenty of RAW alumni like Mitchell Bates (Grey Gardens, Toronto) and Jamie Harling (Deane House, Calgary), as well as newcomers: Icelandic chef Viktor Örn Andrésson, Tofino's Nick Nutting (Wolf in the Fog) and Vancouver chef duo Amanda and Makoto Ono (Mak N Ming). The dinner series is also featuring a number of female chefs this winter, including Vancouver's Andrea Carlson (Burdock & Co.), Saskatoon's Christie Peters (The Hollows, Primal), Edmonton's Christine Sandford of Biera and Calgary's Connie DeSousa (Charcut0.
Tickets are $130 plus taxes and gratuity and do not include alcohol. Glasses of wine and a small selection of spirits will be available for purchase once inside the yet-to-be-unveiled RAW structure that will be constructed on the frozen river adjacent to The Forks Market.
