This June, 100 lucky guests will have the chance to participate in an immersive prehistoric dining and learning experience at one of Canada's most popular tourist attractions. Alberta Era will be an innovative, entertaining and educational event hosted by paleontologists, combined with a roster of acclaimed chefs who will be using their talents to create a multi-course dinner on the rooftop of The Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller, Alberta.
The event schedule and details:
We will provide a coach transportation from a central downtown in Calgary (pick up spot: in front of the Hotel Arts, 119 12 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2R 0G8) to the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller leaving at 2:30 p.m.
Upon arrival in Drumheller at approximately 3:45 p.m., guests will be moved into small groups and taken on a VIP tour of the museum hosted by Tyrrell's gallery experience officers beginning at 4 p.m.
Following the museum tour, guests will be guided through a private staff area up to the museum's rooftop for a lively cocktail reception with canapes and interactive fossil exhibition before sitting down for dinner at 6 p.m.
The four-course dinner menu, inspired by dinosaurs from different periods of the Mesozoic Era and complete with wine pairings, will be prepared by some of Calgary's top chefs, including JP Pedhirney (Bridgette Bar), Andrea Harling (Made Foods), Quinn Staple and Kat Edwards (Hotel Arts).
Once the dinner comes to a close, coach buses will take all guests back to the same downtown Calgary meeting point with an estimated arrival of 10:30 p.m.
