The Calgary-based event series Blue Jay Sessions just announced this week that it will be doing its first-ever Edmonton pop-up from March 9-12 at two venues, OTTO Food & Drink and the 16th floor of the EPCOR Tower.

The OTTO series is happening from March 9-11 and sees two songwriters' sessions per evening featuring notable Canadian acts such as The Prairie States, Jay Gilday, Emmet Michael, Hailey Benedict, HAIDEE, Natalia Chai, Alex Hughes, Josh Sahunta, Devin Cooper, Nicole Rayy, Clay Bolen, Ashley Ghostkeeper, Mariya Stokes, same as me, and more.

Tickets for the OTTO sessions are $15 (1 session) or $25 (2 sessions) and are now available for purchase via Showpass.

On March 11 and 12, Blue Jay Sessions has joined forces with MilkCrate and its chef/owner Steve Brochu to offer one-of-a-kind cocktail, dinner experiences, and a cool Sunday brunch on the EPCOR Tower's 16th floor. The unfinished floor of the downtown building has a cool industrial feel and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer unparelleled views of Edmonton's downtown.

The various events at the EPCOR Tower on its 16th floor will feature acclaimed acts like Ellen Doty, MAUVEY, Nice Horse, The Dungarees, D'orjay, and Kate Stevens.

"I've watched the Blue Jay Sessions grow and become a wonderful part of Alberta's music scene, and I was so happy when I found out it would be coming to Edmonton," says jazz singer Ellen Doty. "I am looking forward to sharing my songs and stories with my fellow session performers and the audience on March 11!"

All of the Epcor Tower events' food menus will be created by chef Steve Brochu of MilkCrate. The cocktail, snacks, dinner and brunch menus will playfully draw inspiration from iconic Canadian musicians and songs.

"Alberta's music scene is just as exciting as our food scene, so I'm excited to create food menus for the Blue Jay Sessions' events at Epcor Tower that celebrate both our ingredients and local creatives," says Brochu.

Tickets for the three music-meets-food experiences range from $20-$65) and are now available for purchase via Showpass.
