Bravo's 'Top Chef' Season 22 to film in Toronto

The original 'Top Chef' format is set to film in Canada for the first time ever

After hearing whispers of this in the Canadian culianry rumour mill for the past while, it was officially confirmed today that Top Chef Season 22 will, in fact, be filmed in Canada.

There is not much to report on beyond today's announcement, but there has been some early speculation that the series may open up to Canadian-born cheftestants for this unique season abroad.

While Top Chef Season 21 just wrapped in Wisconsin, Top Chef Season 20, dubbed the "World All-Stars" season, was actually also filmed out-of-country, in London, UK. This Canadian on-location feels undoubtedly more exciting to North American fans of the famed culinary competition series.
