TIME has just unveiled their 3rd annual World’s Greatest Places feature and Vancouver is one of two Canadian destinations, but the only major Canadian city, in the robust global roundup.
The write-up on the city by Paul Feinstein makes particular note of Vancouver's "eclectic cuisine", while shouting out (relatively) newly-minted MICHELIN-Starred eateries Burdock & Co. and Published on Main for their focus on hyper locality. The longstanding restaurant Salmon n 'Bannock is also mentioned for its exemplary Indigneous cuisine.
“On behalf of the entire team at Burdock & Co, we are thrilled and deeply honoured to be recognized as a recommended experience in TIME’s 2023 World’s Greatest Places,” said Andrea Carlson, chef and owner of Burdock & Co. in an announcement today “Following on the heels of our MICHELIN Star, this news is further validation of the hard work and dedication demonstrated by our team daily. I firmly believe that if you are passionate and committed, there’s nothing you can’t achieve–and this global recognition is absolute proof of that.”
TIME's 2023 World's Greatest Places feature includes many other destinations including Brisbane, Jerusalem, Budapest and Aqaba, Jordan.
