Honestly, the holiday season is a ton of fun, it’s also always a substantial amount of work; from decorating to event planning, grocery shopping to cooking. Sometimes, you just want to stop, step back, and appreciate what is truly important: spending time with those you love most. Give yourself a break from the kitchen this holiday season and order your turkey dinner to-go. No one will begrudge you for it. It might even become your new holiday tradition.

Railtown Catering – Vancouver

Railtown Catering in Vancouver is offering its Turkey To-Go package this year. From December 24 to 26, you can get yourself a 16-pound, sage-roasted organic turkey with all of the fixings for $299. That includes, but is not limited to, sides like apricot, chestnut, and brioche stuffing, as well as wild flower honey and ginger cranberry sauce. And don’t forget pecan pie for dessert!

The Westin - Calgary

Take the pressure off yourself this holiday and opt for The Westin’s chef-made feast instead. It all starts with turkey of course, but the sides are where this meal really shines. Add some festive greens to your plate with baby kale, frisée, sun-dried figs, toasted pecans, and cranberry orange vinaigrette. It will definitely help to compensate for the sticky toffee pudding you are sure to devour for dessert. Fifteen-pound birds with all the fixings are $375.

Sunterra Market – Calgary and Edmonton

Sunterra Market is offering not one, but four, take-home options this holiday. You can choose between turkey, bourbon mustard glazed ham, roasted prime rib, or even Turducken, all between $35 and $44 per person (10 person minimum). Don’t forget to pick your sides, but even more so, don’t neglect to choose a selection of desserts: classics like fruit cake and stollen, as well as lighter options like pavlova and pumpkin pistachio cookies.

Fairmont Hotels – across the country

No matter where you are in Canada: chances are, if there’s a Fairmont hotel near you, it is offering turkey to-go options for you and your family and friends. Exact menus and prices vary from hotel to hotel, but they all include turkey, trimmings, and dessert for $200 to $400, depending on how many mouths you need to feed. Participating hotels include the Royal York in Toronto (get all of their especially delicious details here), Le Château Frontenac in Quebec City, the Palliser in Calgary, and more.

Bytown Catering – Ottawa

Bytown Catering’s Take-home Turkey Dinner is a steal at only $190, given that they do all of the work for you and all you have to do is eat! Its roasted turkey serves six to eight people, and comes with sides like stuffing, meat pie, seasonal veg, gravy, and cranberry sauce. Now that’s a traditional holiday meal at its best!

Supper Central – Winnipeg

Supper Central’s Tis the Season Holiday Dinner is teaming with Christmas cheer! Its meal includes turkey breasts stuffed with cream cheese, cranberry, and thyme, along with a turkey leg for those who prefer dark meat, rather than a full bird. You won’t feel like you’re missing out though, with extras from sweet and sour meatballs, to a Prairie favourite: potato and cheddar perogies. Be sure to save room for dessert: gingerbread loaf with cream cheese icing! The whole meal is $259 (serves four to six) for a full size and $139 for a half size (serves two to three).

The Great Gobbler – Toronto

At the Great Gobbler, you can actually order a full turkey dinner all year-round! Just give them 72-hours notice to prep your festive fare. There are two size options to choose from, a 12- to 14-pound bird that feeds 10 to 14 people ($325) or a whopping 25- to 30-pound bird that feeds 25 to 30 people ($595). From there, you can customize your meal by selecting from sides like roasted vegetables with sweet onions and roasted garlic, or creamy sweet potato mash. We’re eyeing the apple crumble pie for dessert!

Kitchen Door Catering – Halifax and area

Let Kitchen Door take care of your holiday feast with its take-home Full Meal Deal. Choose between free-range Nova Scotia turkey or Annapolis Valley ham for your entrée, with plenty of sides to accompany it. Buttermilk-whipped potatoes with smoked gouda, sour cream and chives anyone? For only $39 per person (minimum four people per order), you really can’t go wrong!
