Vancouver’s Tacofino announced the next iteration of its ongoing series of industry outreach seminars this week, continuing the restaurant’s commitment to providing a safe space for hospitality workers to inspire change through meaningful dialogue.
Taking place on March 9 via Zoom, this Speakers for Change session will feature keynote speakers chef Suzanne Barr and Hassel Aviles of Not 9 to 5. The two will share experiences and insights on mental health and substance use support, harm reduction, sparking joy in a pandemic, and more.
“We’ve been thrilled with the positive response to the first edition of Speakers for Change and are looking forward to continuing to provide a platform to discuss important issues for our industry and all those who rely on it for their livelihood,” says Shift Change co-founder Gino Di Domenico. “We want to keep engaging as many people as possible from across the industry spectrum and spotlight the ways we can all work together to promote a better, healthier industry as a whole.”
More information regarding future sessions will be announced in the coming months. Complimentary tickets for the March 9 session can be reserved online. As always, Tacofino will make a donation of $1,250 per session to the keynote speaker’s charity or cause of choice.
