One of Calgary’s premier local pie makers is getting set to open its fourth location in the city this week, offering the city’s Northwest community a slew of sweet and savoury pies, made-from-scratch pastries, and more.
Opening on October 1 in Crowfoot Crossing, Pie Junkie and Bakery’s newest location aims to further expand the brand’s reach to Albertans following its recent launch of a new e-commerce and citywide delivery service.
“We are so grateful for the support and appreciation we’ve received from Calgarians as we’ve continued to grow over the past six years,” say Nancy Goemans and Jo-Anne Caza, owners of Pie Junkie. “We’ve had a steady stream of requests to open a shop in the north and we’re delighted to make that a reality. It is very exciting to be bringing Pie Junkie to this bustling retail hub and we hope that our newest location will be a popular destination for pie lovers in the north end of the city and surrounding areas like Airdrie and Cochrane.”
In addition to its signature sweet and savoury pastry items, the Calgary-based bakery also offers a number of locally-made goods from fellow Alberta businesses such as Urban Butcher, Alberta Grocery, and Canmore Brewing.
Pie Junkie is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and is currently accepting pre-orders for Thanksgiving pies.
