Calgary Produce Marketing Association's Fall Harvest Sale raising funds for local charities this weekend

Head to Heritage Park to buy your veggies for a great cause

Calgary Produce Marketing Association is getting geared up for their annual Fall Harvest Sale at Heritage Park this weekend (Sept. 12 and 13). Working with produce companies across Canada and beyond, the Calgary PMA has set up a gigantic market with a different layout from previous years, but still full of fresh produce ranging from carrots, peppers and potatoes to citrus fruits and artichokes.

Much like other outdoor fall markets (including our Prairie Grid Markets), the Fall Harvest Sale is strongly encouraging people to book tickets to allocated times to visit the large-scale produce marketplace. In addition to timed visits, attendees will be directed through a one-way path through produce tents, paying for their edible finds at the exit. Unsurprisingly, card payments are preferred over cash (though cash will still be accepted).

Proceeds from produce sold at the event at Heritage Park will go towards Community Kitchen Program of Calgary, the Heritage Park Society and Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation.
