It's no secret that we are big fans of the Winnipeg food scene and its phenomenal restaurants, including the contemporary Spanish eatery, Segovia. For Calgarians who have yet to visit the Manitoba capital to discover what we already know, they can get a taste of Segovia in their own city on January 16th as chef-owner Adam Donnelly is joining forces with Justin Leboe and Ox Bar de Tapas' chef, Scott Ruegg for a one-night Spanish affair.
"People have been raving to me about Adam’s food for sometime now. It’s seemed like a good fit to try and do something," explains Model Milk and Pigeonhole's Justin Leboe. "We have been talking and writing the menu for over a month. It's looking great!"
With Leboe representing Pigeonhole, chef Scott Ruegg Ox Bar de Tapas and Donnelly his restaurant Segovia, each chef will be creating three dishes, which will be served tapas style collectively, but in multiple courses.
The dinner is taking place at Ox Bar de Tapas (formerly known as Ox and Angela) on Wednesday, January 16th and costs $58 a person, which does not include tax, gratuity or drinks. The chefs encourage anyone interested in this unique Spanish dinner event to contact Ox to reserve seats.
Both Leboe and Donnelly say they are very excited for the collaboration and look forward to showcasing a small, but mighty piece of Winnipeg's restaurant scene to all in attendance.
