With colder temperatures seemingly here to stay and a substantial snowfall expected to continue over the next few days, a new source for comfort food opened in Vancouver this week.
Located within Kafka’s Coffee Roasters in Gastown, the new Lunch Bar pop-up specializes in warming one-bowl meals like soups and stews, along with a slew of other tasty grab-and-go options from Kafka’s chef Nitzan Cohen.
Lunch Bar will offer a rotational menu of specialty stews that focus on traditional flavours and nostalgic recipes. The first pair on the inaugural menu (pictured above) are a beef chili topped with shredded mozzarella, Valentina’s sour cream, and cornbread crumble, and a vegan chili topped with tortilla-chip gremolata.
Lunch Bar will be open in Kafka’s Coffee Roasters’ Gastown location on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
