This week, Family Services of Greater Vancouver (FSGV) announced a special Family Day event taking place on April 9 that will offer participants a chance to take part in a fun and interactive virtual cooking class while also helping to raise funds for a great cause.
The 2022 Fam Jam Kitchen fundraiser will feature a 90-minute family-friendly cooking class hosted by acclaimed pastry chef and The Great Canadian Baking Show judge Bruno Feldeisen.
Each family ticket comes complete with one complimentary Chicken Caesar Salad meal kit and one BBQ Chicken Pizza meal kit from Fresh Prep. During the virtual cooking class, participants will be able to engage with chef Feldeisen as he offers tips and tricks on how to improve cooking skills, source fresh ingredients, and how to get your kids excited about meal time.
“Our team is committed to helping BC families build resilience and find community, not only by sharing necessary skills and knowledge, but also walking alongside them as they develop a reliable support system,” says Maria Howard, CEO of FSGV. “The Fam Jam Kitchen fundraiser is a great way for local families to support each other while teaching their children the importance of paying it forward to families who need a little extra help.”
Tickets to the Fam Jam Kitchen fundraiser will go on sale on February 21 are priced at $100 per family. All proceeds will be directed toward FSGV’s Stronger Families Fund, which provides both immediate and long-term care to B.C. families in need.
