After celebrating its grand opening in Vancouver’s Shangri-La Hotel just a few months ago, Kitchen Table Restaurants announced today that on November 29, Miantiao will close its doors to make way for two new concepts–the first of which will launch toward the end of autumn under the culinary direction of award-winning chef Mark Perrier

Although details regarding the restaurant’s name and culinary concept have yet to be revealed in full, it should come as no surprise that chef Perrier will be featuring a primarily Italian-inspired menu. In addition to working at two-star Michelin restaurant Cibo Trattoria in London, England, the acclaimed chef has also helmed the kitchens of notable Italian eateries throughout Vancouver, including Osteria Savio Volpe, Pepino’s Spaghetti House, and CinCin Ristorante.

“I am really looking forward to introducing this new restaurant concept to Vancouver,” explains Perrier, “but that’s all I can say for now until the details are announced in the coming weeks. In the meantime, I look forward to creating wonderful meals and memories in true Italian style!”

Until Miantiao officially closes its doors on November 29, chef Perrier will be providing guests with a sneak peek of sorts via a rotating family-style menu featuring some of chef Perrier’s favourite dishes, new recipes, and more.

Reservations for chef Perrier’s feature menu can be made online or over the phone.
