A new restaurant is opening in downtown Vancouver this month, featuring a unique combination of Italian and Chinese culinary philosophies, techniques, and cultural traditions.
The name Miantiao comes from the Mandarin word for ‘noodle’—a staple of both cuisines. The menu will showcase a range of creative culinary innovations, from Tajarin pasta with butter and quantum beef seasoning to Merluzzo Nero, a sablefish dish with cured pork, olive, and borlotti bean.

The dining experience will take guests on a cultural exploration, from internationally-inspired cuisine and decor to a wine list that celebrates local B.C. vineyards.
Miantiao will open inside the Shangri-La Hotel on June 17. Reservations can be made online for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.
