A cool South Indian pop-up is happening in Calgary this week

Vresh South Indian tapas pop-up at Shelter Cocktail Bar takes place Feb 3-5

Following the overwhelmingly positive feedback from its inaugural pop-up at Calgary’s Shelter Cocktail Bar last summer, contemporary Indian kitchen Vresh Foods announced this week that it will once again be taking up residence at the Victoria Park bar from February 3 to 5.

Available Thursday to Saturday from 5 p.m to 10 p.m. or until it sells out, the new Vresh pop-up menu will showcase a modern take on South Indian-inspired cuisine through a variety of gluten and nut-free tapas.

Like the previous pop-up, guests will have their choice of five unique menu items. Some of the offerings include Marina Beach corn ribs with coconut spice, ribbon pakoda, and cured-lime crema, Mangalore hot chicken with tamarind-jaggery chili oil and pickled challas, and chorus meatballs with Brant Lake wagyu, smoked lard, and pickled roots.

Seating for the Vresh pop-up will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis. The full menu can be found online.
